Health Education England (HEE) have recently purchased lots of new knowledge resources for all NHS staff which you now have access to via the Library & Knowledge Service at East Cheshire.
The NHS Knowledge and Library Hub is a discovery system which connects NHS staff and learners seamlessly to a range of high-quality knowledge and evidence resources all in one place. It offers an intuitive search experience for quick searches and options for in-depth searches. It includes:
Login with your NHS Athens account for full-text access to all the resources. After March 2022 HDAS will no longer be available for database searches. Instead searches will need to be conducted in the native supplier interfaces via Ovid, EBSCO and ProQuest. Different databases are available from the suppliers and searches may need to be conducted on multiple platforms. Any saved searches and alerts will need to be migrated to the new platforms. Please get in touch with the library and we can help you through this process. HEE has also procured LibKey for the NHS in England. This includes LibKey Nomad, a free web browser extension which provides quick, easy access to our full-text content. If you are searching scholarly journals, Google Scholar, PubMed, Wikipedia, or a variety of other scholarly sites the LibKey Nomad extension will show you if the article is available via our full-text subscriptions, with a button to directly access the PDF. If an article isn't available in full-text LibKey Nomad will provide a pre-populated form allowing you to seamlessly request the article from the library. LibKey Nomad is currently available for Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Brave and Vivaldi. Once downloaded, select 'East Cheshire NHS Trust' in the list of organisations. For more information, training or help to move your searches please get in touch: Library & Knowledge Service Tel: 01625 66 1362 Email: [email protected]
