How the Library can support youWe can provide support, training and resources to help you with your continuing professional development and training, and with evidence searches to support patient care and service developments. All library services and resources are available to East Cheshire NHS Trust staff, wherever they are based.
We have a large collection of relevant books and journals, as well as other online evidence resources. Free training is available to all staff. Access to computers and study space 24/7, and advice and support from the librarians. |
Library books & e-booksThe Library has a wide range of books and e-books covering all clinical specialties, as well as subjects like management, coaching and revalidation. All East Cheshire NHS Trust staff and students on placement are able to join the library. If you are unsure where to start please speak to a member of library staff and we will be happy to help you.

Royal Marsden ManualThe Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nursing Procedures is available to borrow from the library and also available as an e-book. Access from hospital computers without needing to login - open the Start Menu on the PC and scroll down the list of programs to the Royal Marsden. Access from elsewhere with an NHS Athens username and password.

UpToDateUpToDate is an evidence-based decision support tool which is available to all Trust staff. It includes over 11,000 clinical topics, drug information, practice-changing updates and much more. Access from anywhere with your NHS Athens account. More information is available here.

Keep up-to-dateKnowledgeShare is our targeted current awareness service. Alerts are emailed out every fortnight. Your KnowledgeShare profile can be created to be as broad or specific as you need, and can be updated if your interests change. It can include non-clinical topics such as leadership, management, coaching, and research, as well as clinical conditions.
