Opening hours24/7 access with your Trust ID badge. Items can be borrowed, renewed and returned using the self-service machine. The computing facilities are also available 24/7.
Staffed: Monday-Friday 08:30 - 16:30. Unstaffed weekends and public holidays. BooksYou may borrow up to 8 items for 3 weeks, renewable by phone, email, online or via the MyCirqa app.
10p per day charge for each overdue item. JournalsAll our journals are online. Search them here or use the quick search option below - search by journal title, subject or ISSN:
An NHS Athens account is required to access the fulltext. Inter-library requestsAny books or journal articles not available from the Library resources (print and online) are usually available on inter-library loan. Journal articles we can obtain from another NHS library are free. Articles supplied by non-NHS libraries, and book loans, cost £1 (extra charge for items sourced from the British Library - ask for details).
ComputersThere are 15 computers available for Library members to use. All the PCs have Microsoft Office applications, email, internet and some Trust applications. Printing, photocopying (10p/A4 and 20p/A3) and scanning is also available.

Evidence and literature searchesWe can conduct work-related evidence searches on your behalf. Save your time! Complete a request form or email the details to the library.
We cannot conduct searches for coursework or study on your behalf, but we can show you how to do a search and help to you manage your references. Just get in touch to arrange a session! Keep up-to-dateKnowledgeShare is our targeted current awareness service. We’ll let you know when we find high-impact publications in your area, including guidelines, policy and high-level research evidence.
Various email alerts, bulletins and updates are available to help you keep up-to-date in your subject area.

Study areasIndividual and group study areas are available in the Library, including a quiet study room.
Fiction and wellbeingThere is a small collection of fiction books available for you to borrow. We welcome donations of recently published fiction.
A Kindle is also available to borrow, pre-loaded with fiction e-books. We also have a Wellbeing collection, which includes all the 'Books on Prescription', other health stories and self-help books. Free tea and coffee!Help yourself to a free mug of tea or coffee whilst you are working in the library. If you prefer, we also have a pod coffee machine which is charged at 50p per pod (so £1 per drink for ones which require 2 pods).

TrainingThe library runs a number of different courses, which can be arranged for 1:1 or small group sessions. We can provide training in the library or come to your place of work. Contact the library for more information or to book a session. Current courses include:
