The Library & Knowledge Service is here to help you make a difference, and to help inform your decision-making. We can help you to keep up-to-date, and ensure that you are able to make the best use of the resources available to you.
24/7 access with your Trust ID badge. Items can be borrowed, renewed and returned using the self-service machine. The computing facilities are also available 24/7.
Staffed: Monday-Thursday 08:30 - 17:00; Friday 08:30 - 16:30. Unstaffed weekends and public holidays.
You may borrow up to 8 items for 3 weeks, renewable by phone, email, online or via the MyCirqa app.
10p per day charge for each overdue item.
All our journals are online. Search them here or use the quick search option below - search by journal title, subject or ISSN:
An NHS Athens account is required to access the fulltext.
Any books or journal articles not available from the Library resources (print and online) are usually available on inter-library loan. Journal articles we can obtain from another NHS library are free. Articles supplied by non-NHS libraries, and book loans, cost £1 (extra charge for items sourced from the British Library - ask for details).
There are 10 computers available for Library members to use. All the PCs have Microsoft Office applications, email, internet and some Trust applications. Printing, photocopying (10p/A4 and 20p/A3) and scanning is also available.

Want help with an evidence search? Complete the form then email it to the Library. Our target is to complete evidence searches within 5 working days or by the user deadline.
KnowledgeShare is our targeted current awareness service. We’ll let you know when we find high-impact publications in your area, including guidelines, policy and high-level research evidence.
Various email alerts, bulletins and updates are available to help you keep up-to-date in your subject area.

Individual and group study areas are available in the Library.
There is a small collection of fiction books available for you to borrow. We welcome donations of recently published fiction.
A Kindle is also available to borrow, pre-loaded with fiction e-books.
The Outreach Librarians can conduct evidence searches on your behalf, provide training and information to East Cheshire NHS Trust staff. Holly Cook, Clinical Outreach Librarian, provides services to hospital based staff and Steve Collman, Community Outreach Librarian, provides services to community based staff. They can provide training in the library or visit your place of work. Holly and Steve also produce various bulletins and updates to help you keep up-to-date.
