Spotlight on ... inter-library loans

​When an essential book or journal article is not held by the library, we try our best to obtain it for you through our Inter-Library Loan (ILL) system. We request items on your behalf from other libraries in the North West and further afield, including The British Library.
Why is it useful?

• The £1 per item fee (BL fee considerably higher) is a highly reduced cost. If you were to obtain the book or article alone you would be paying a significantly higher price.
• The library can save you time by searching for the book or article on your behalf.
• The speed at which we can obtain the article/book is faster than if we were to order from another supplier. Typically, articles take between 1-2 working days to arrive and books up to 5 working days.

How do I use it? 
You can request an Inter-library loan using the online form found on our website www.eastcheshirenhslibrary.net or visiting the library directly.
